Avekta principals and staff contribute to the common good by providing lectures for non-profit organizations, fundraisers and professional seminars.
President, Maria Avgerakis has lectured at New York City high schools on career development and leadership.
VP Creative Director, George Avgerakis has published three books on the business of e-media and has lectured worldwide at colleges, universities and professional seminars. He has chaired the Business Curriculum for the National Association of Broadcasters convention in Las Vegas, NV.
Online Artist, Jeremy Goldsmith is an adjunct professor in the Music Department at Manhattanville College, lecturing on Midi and audio production techniques, and leading the Electronic Music Band. He also teaches website design techniques for music management and technology majors.
Producer, Carlyle Gordon lectures pro-bono at high schools and community colleges in the New York metropolitan area on such topics as personal responsibility, success planning and life skills.
Lectures vary across a very wide range of topics, from career and business tutorials to applications of e-media in organizations, corporations and educational institutions. Fees and travel reimbursement for lectures vary from complimentary to $250 per hour based on the organization sponsoring the event and whether admission to the event is for profit, fundraising or free.
Avekta principals and staff are also members of community volunteer organizations such as Civil Air Patrol, US Coast Guard Auxiliary, Lions Club, Scouting, Leaders, ethnic colloquia and Freemasonry.
