Challenge Schedule 2009 Announced
Challenge Racing begins at Homestead Speedway in Miami.
Challenge racers and spectators are encouraged to make plans now for the 2009 Ferrari Challenge Race series. Six race events are planned for the U.S. series this year. Beginning March 19-22 at the Homestead Speedway in Miami, FL, the series proceeds north to Road Atlanta April 17-19, then across country to Infineon in the picturesque wine country of Napa, CA May 1-3.
Weather added an extra challenge at Mt. Tremblant in 2008.
Heading to the heartland for a June 26-28 encounter, Challenge racers will match skills at Road America in Elkhart Lake, WI, before crossing into Canada for the Mt. Tremblant, Quebec meet July 24-26. The concluding U.S. series race is to be held September 18-20 at Motorsports Park, NJ. The Ferrari Challenge World Finals are set for Nov. 5-8., where Challenge drivers from around the world battle it out to become Ferrari Challenge World Champion. Derek Hill, the son of the late Phil Hill (1961 Formula 1 World Champion piloting a Ferrari), was the latest North American to win the honor.
