430 Scuderia Spider 16M Unveiled

In commemoration of its recent triumph at the Formula 1 Constructors’ World Championship 2008, Ferrari unveiled the new 430 Scuderia Spider 16M at the Ferrari Challenge World Finals in Mugello, Italy, Nov. 7-8. The Spider 16M is a new high performance sports car derived from the latest of Ferrari’s technological developments in the mid-rear-engine 8-cylinder platform.

In recent tests, the new sports car proved faster around the Fiorano circuit than any other open-top road car ever built by Ferrari. Like the Enzo, the 430 Scuderia Spider 16M will have a series special model production run limited to 499.
