The Meaning of Hospitality

Hospitality VIP is an opportunity for attendees to mingle with the drivers.
In the world of sports car racing, the word "hospitality" has a special meaning and Ferrari Challenge exceeds all expectations of trackside hospitality.  Designed specifically with Ferrari owners in mind, it offers a relaxing atmosphere, Northern Italian cuisine, entertainment for all ages and all-day refreshments.

Steve Alfieris, a CEO from Virginia, says: "I couldn't spend the whole day out in the hot sun, sitting on bleachers.  My customers love racing as much as I do but sitting in the sun all day is draining.  The VIP hospitality tent provides my guests and me an oasis to regroup, talk about the action and meet other interesting people.  I couldn't think of a better venue to enrich the racing experience than (VIP) Hospitality."

Elena Rivero, a Braselton, GA housewife who volunteers at her local hospital, recounted: "I never went to races--it was my husband Enrique's big thing.  One Saturday, while thinking of a way to raise money for the hospital, Enrique suggested I come see the hospitality tent at Road America."  Elena gestured expansively, "And what a lovely venue this was!  At the next race, nearly all the men on my donor list attended and because I suggested they bring their wives, we had a splendid social gathering and gathered many donations."

Racing simulators included in the hospitality package are a fun part of the experience.  "I thought I was cool,” said teenager, Robert Marcano after 10 minutes on the F430 simulator at Infineon. "I told my dad I could beat the lap times of Mike Zoi.  Was I wrong.  I spun out in every turn!"

The F1 simulators are always a popular VIP Hospitality attraction.
Many hospitality attendees appreciate the access to the racing teams and the Challenge drivers.  It's a benefit of their Challenge participation.  Race team members are often approached by Ferrari owners interested in gathering some anecdotal advice on tweaking or driving their cars.

"I guess I'm shy to admit it," says Mike Golec of Toronto, who confesses to a passion for racing, "but I like to strike up conversations with the Challenge drivers.  They are easy to approach at lunch or at the snack table.  Roberto Fata told me his secret to getting the best line through a turn."  Golec did not share it with e-NEWS.
