Gorgeous Models on Park Avenue

A New Yorker admires our F2001. ($20,000)
Soon, cold weather will return to the northern portion of the continent. Many Ferraris will be winterized and stored for several months.  It is comforting to have at hand nostalgic symbols of our passion with which we may pass the time until spring and unsalted roads return.  Here for your consideration are several examples of the fine art of modeling.  These are currently available at the Ferrari Store on Park Avenue in the center of Manhattan.  They  represent a broad range of prices suitable for private collecting or as special gifts.

Boxer 312T F1 Engine Replica ($10,000)
F2001 Model:   This is a limited-edition 1:4-scale model that measures approximately 47.5” long, 20” wide and 12” high.  The F2001 took the Drivers' and Constructors' F1 Championship titles and verily epitomizes the single-seater F1 design to maximum effect.  The subtleties of the body sculpting and aerodynamics are clearly seen in Amalgam’s 44” model.  Visit the Ferrari store to marvel at the meticulous detailing and finish.  Then consider making this fine model an addition to your collection.  Just 99 examples of this F2001 were produced. The base of this model is authenticated with a plaque individually signed by Ferrari's President, Luca di Montezemolo, bearing the production number.

The Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano ($490)
Boxer Engine:  This is a representation of the Ferrari Boxer 312t-F1 engine from the Formula 1 car which won three World Championships for Ferrari--first with Niki Lauda in 1975 and 1977 and later with Jody Scheckter in 1979.  The flat 12-cylinder engine allowed for an extremely low center of gravity while providing exceptional power.

This 1:3-scale engine consists of more than 360 parts, all assembled by screws without using adhesives.  A special technique has been used to hollow out the aluminum engine so it only weighs 15 pounds.

The F430 Spyder ($490)
599 GTB Fiorano and F430 Spyder:  These 1:43-scale models are perfect replicas of the two most desirable Ferraris currently available.  Some may wish to express their desire for ownership by displaying either on a desk or mantle.  Others who have already attained ownership status may simply wish to display a token of their achievement.  These handcrafted models are the perfect choice for collectors and rest on a natural hand-tooled leather platform inside a transparent Plexiglass presentation case. Handmade by B.B.R. Exclusive, they are produced as a limited and numbered edition.

The cars from which the models were replicated are already legendary.  The "Fiorano" is named after the circuit that Ferrari uses to perfect its cars. "599" denotes the displacement of its V12 engine divided by 10.  The F430 employs cutting-edge technologies like an electronic differential and the wheel-mounted commutator switch, both derived from Ferrari's Formula 1 research.
