Challenge to Mt. Tremblant

Competitive racing at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, shown here, to be continued in Canada at Le Circuit Mt. Tremblant.
The fourth Ferrari Challenge series race of the season recently unfolded at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal and preceded the Canadian Grand Prix under sunny skies and packed grandstands.  Zak Brown (Scottsdale Ferrari), starting from second position, took the lead right at the start and led pole-sitter Jay Lee (Ferrari of Beverly Hills) who settled  for second place. Third place position changed throughout the race between Scott Tucker (Level 5 Racing by Boardwalk Ferrari) and Roberto Fata  (Ferrari of Long Island). But at the end it was Jeff Soffer (The Collection Miami) who showed his skills and finished third.  For the complete results and more information on the race visit www.ferrarichallenge.com

Ferrari FXX cars prepare to go out on the track in a rare demonstration of their raw power.
Looking ahead, Canada will again be the backdrop for the next Challenge event at the Circuit at Mont Tremblant July 18 – 20. Ferrari will once again host the Corse Clienti department from Italy who support the FXX and Formula 1 owners’ activities. If you are a fan of Formula 1, you know that seeing well-preserved, Formula 1 race cars from the past  driven at speed around a championship course is a rare event. These winning race cars, once piloted by such heralded drivers as Michael Schumacher, Niki Lauda, John Surtees, Alberto Ascari and others, remain in action. In retirement, they are purchased, maintained and driven by Ferrari enthusiasts under the careful supervision of the Corse Clienti department, which provides technical support and race craft advice.

Corse Clienti encourages enthusiasts of Ferrari Formula 1 to purchase and drive F1 cars such as this pristine example.
Also on tap for Mont Tremblant will be the FXX.  Ferrari started this development program in 2005. The FXX program uses technology developed for the Enzo, combined  with all-new developments from Ferrari and some of Ferrari’s suppliers. Although customers pay approximately $2.5 million to own an FXX they are only allowed to drive the car on special track days organized and supported by the Corse Clienti department.  After driving, an  owner is required to provide technical feedback and brief Ferrari's technical department on the car's performance.

Always a rare and exciting event, FXX demonstration laps allow viewers to see the fastest Ferrari road cars driven in full performance by their owners. Come to the fifth Ferrari Challenge races July 18-20 and enjoy seeing retired Formula 1 cars and the FXX program. This is an ideal opportunity to take advantage of Ferrari VIP Hospitality, where you can enjoy a continental breakfast, lunch and refreshments in the company of all three program participants.

The VIP Hospitality Tent affords guests a unique chance to strike up acquaintances with Formula 1 and FXX owners, as well as Challenge racers and their teams. Ask questions, make friends and perhaps you too may choose to get involved. Then, after the races, take the family for a tour of the resort village of Mont Tremblant. There is plenty to do in the area. For more information on the Corse Clienti programs please visit www.ferraricorseclienti.com.
