Homestead Race Weekend
Combining warm, southern weather and even warmer hospitality with sizzling race action, Homestead Miami Speedway is the venue for the opening round of the 2008 Ferrari Challenge Series. Hot on the tail of Cavallino, which kicked off the Shell Historics, Ferrari North America has assembled a fantastic events calendar that offers owners a vast array of opportunities to race and watch racing. So warm up your car, dust off your boater and shake off the winter blues. It's a red-letter event from the morning of Friday, March 7 to the afternoon of Sunday, March 9. And there is no better way to take in the action than from a Ferrari VIP Hospitality vantage. If you're tired of winter, this event offers all the warmth and high life you can expect from a Southern Florida weekend in March. The only chills will be on the track!
The photo finish series opener at last year's Homestead Race Weekend left no fan dissappointed. Intense Challenge competition will likely have fans out of their seats as 2008 series begins March 7.
The city of Homestead is about 45 minutes south of Miami at the gateway to the Florida Keys. The community has focused on preserving and renovating historic buildings, and features a historic district of charming specialty shops and restaurants. Many Mediterranean revival structures in downtown Homestead have been refurbished and adapted for new uses.
If you haven't been to Miami in some time, you've got a lot of catching up to do. Warm, offshore breezes, Hollywood stars, rappers and lovely ladies participate in an endless parade to the sounds of contemporary music spilling out of clubs and restaurants. South Beach, which originally gained fame in the days of Frank Sinatra and Eddie Hodges, has now been reborn as the continent's leading party scene.
Guests who plan to arrive by private aircraft may avail themselves of an on-site heliport and nearby general aviation, jet-capable airport. Extensive handicap accommodations are also provided.
