E-Promotions are low cost methods of reaching a potential audience by way of email and other Internet vehicles. In order to avoid the highly negative impression created by "spam" (unsolicited email), it is essential to offer real value in each promotion. Value may consist of tangible rewards, educational opportunities or social gatherings.

This is an example of an e-promotion employed to attract an audience of insurance brokers for a new product introduction. It was emailed to a select list and resulted in high percentages of response.
